I've now raced for some days on my quest. I usually do club racing in my old Swedish Scanmar 33 battleship, as well as some smaller boat club regattas.

All in all, I've had a lot of fun. A lot! And I really don't see why this should not get published really soon. It's a specialty sports game, and I think sailors will accept some quirks and continuous updates. As a "minimum viable product" I don't really have a lot to complain about as the fun impact is there.

It took me a little while to understand that races are not done in real time, I think a tutorial race with some voice over and explanations would be good. Also seeing results in game would be nice, albeit not required at all.

I'll keep racing and keep you posted. Thanks again for the game, this is a keeper - esp now that club racing is on hold due to microbes...
