The current - red numbers on dark grey background - makes the display of the instruments unreadable - Suggestion: pick high contrast combination of the backdrop and font of the display, or alternatively add a couple color options.
If support for setting individual colors is too much might I suggest support for themes? That way one could choose "light" or "dark" and/or whatever other themes were set up without a lot of effort.
